With social media on a serious upswing these days, driving and texting /emailing /facebooking etc is becoming more and more of a problem.

Unfortunately you “text-a-holics” are in for a very rude awakening.  Sorry to burst your bubble but “DD”….and no, I’m not talking about driving your friends home after a fun night out, “DD” Distracted Driving fines are on the major upswing.  As of March 18, 2014 fines are set to rise from $155-$280!  AND there’s talk of demerit points being added in the future!  Pretty soon we’ll see phones being confiscated and towed away.  I’ve attached a link below for you all to read. As you know…whether it’s personal or commercial insurance, tickets and demerit points directly reflect your rates, so be smart and have your auto-answer feature on, and get a good playlist that you can let play while you drive so there’s no temptation to touch your handheld device at all.

Statistics show that more accidents are happening as a result of Distracted Driving as opposed to Impaired Driving.

It’s a short article and won’t take you longer than 5 minutes to read and it’s well worth the reminder to NOT drive while distracted.
