The Newman Insurance Request a Quote to Win Contest (the “Contest”) will begin on February 15, 2018 at 12:01 AM Eastern Time (“Contest Starting Date”) and will end on April 30, 2018 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time (the “Contest Closing Date”).
Before entering the Contest, each entrant must review and agree to be bound by the Contest Rules as set out herein. By entering the Contest, entrants accept and agree to be bound by the Contest Rules, and accept the decisions of the Sponsor in connection with this Contest as final and binding in all respects.
The Contest is open to Ontario residents only, who have reached the age of 18 years old at the contest opening date. Non-residents of Ontario, individuals visiting Ontario on any form of visa, are not eligible to participate in the contest and cannot assign their entry to another person.
Employees, agents and representatives of the Organizers or of any company, corporation, trust or other legal entity controlled by or affiliated to them, their advertising and promotional agencies, suppliers of prizes, material and services related to this Contest, as well as members of their immediate family (brothers, sisters, children, father, mother) and their legal or common-law spouse living at the same address, and any individuals with whom such employees, agents and representatives are domiciled, are not eligible.
To enter, complete the contest entry form on the Newman Insurance Facebook page or visit newmaninsurance.ca/request-a-quote-to-win/ between February 15, 2018 at 12:01 a.m. and April 30, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. (EST) and submit the information required to request an automobile insurance quote. After entering, contestants can receive an additional entry when someone they refer via social media enters the contest. Contestants must enter the mandatory information before they can be entered into the contest and be eligible to win. Failing to do so means the contestant will not be entered into the contest. By entering an automobile policy renewal date and entering the contest, contestants agree and consent to having a Newman Insurance representative contact them prior to their insurance policies expiring to receive a free, no-obligation insurance quote and to discuss insurance matters applicable to them. Contestants do not have to be currently insured through Newman Insurance.
Limit of one automobile per person, for the duration of the contest. Limit of one entry per household. Additional entries will be disqualified.
Entries with names of people under the age of majority as the primary applicant, or alias names, nicknames or any other substitution of a participant’s given name will be disqualified, and the participants submitting such an entry will be deemed ineligible to win this contest’s prize.
The randomly selected entrant’s email address must be valid for that participant to be declared the winner.
All entries deemed to be fraudulent will be automatically rejected and considered ineligible for a prize. The Organizers’ decision is final and may not be appealed.
No purchase is required. However, online access to the Web and a valid email account are required to participate in the contest. *Many public libraries, retail businesses, and others provide free computer and Internet access, and certain Internet service providers or other companies offer free email accounts.

Odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received online through the web site by the Contest Closing Date. All decisions by the prize selection team are final and binding on the participants in all matters relating to the contest.
To win, the selected contestant must first correctly answer without assistance of any kind, a time-limited, mathematical, skill-testing question in writing before being declared the prize winner.
Only one (1) prize will be awarded.
This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, territorial and municipal laws and regulations, is void where prohibited by law and is governed by Canadian laws and the laws of the Province of Ontario. If any provision of these rules is found by any court of competent jurisdiction to be unenforceable, all other provisions will remain in full force and effect.
By participating in this contest, contestants agree to be bound by these rules and regulations.
Newman Insurance shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the contest including, but not limited to, the contestant’s information (whether it be mandatory information or optional information) entered into the contest by any person.
If the contestant requests marketing information about Newman Insurance products and services, Newman Insurance may send the marketing information to the contestant’s email address, residential address or as otherwise directed by the contestant. Personal information will not be shared with outside parties. Newman Insurance reserves the right to withdraw, terminate, suspend, cancel, amend or modify all or part of the contest, in any manner and any rule(s) of the contest, at any time and without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever or if it determines that for any reason the contest cannot be run as originally planned, including, but not limited to, technical failure or corruption, computer virus, bugs, computer, electronic or system malfunction, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other factor(s) or cause(s) beyond Newman Insurance’s control which in Newman Insurance’s opinion compromises the fairness or integrity of the contest and/or affects the administration, security, or proper conduct of this contest as contemplated by these official rules.
If, as a result of an error relating to the entry process, entry, entry count, drawing or any other aspect of the contest, there are more potential winners of the prize than contemplated in these rules, there will be a random draw amongst all eligible prize claimants after the Contest Closing Date to award the prize.
By submitting a completed entry form to enter the contest, the winner releases Newman Insurance from any and all liability arising out of, or in connection with, this contest and the awarding of any prize, now or in the future. By entering this contest, the winner consents in writing to the use of their name, city and province where they reside by Newman Insurance in a format approved by that winner, as well as photographs in any related publicity and publication without further compensation, worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media and social media now known or hereafter devised, including, but not limited to, the Internet, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, SnapChat and in any publicity or advertising carried out by Newman Insurance, unless prohibited by law.
Newman Insurance is not responsible for any entries that are lost, late, damaged, destroyed, corrupted or misdirected, incomplete, garbled, or delayed by or on any computer, online telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur in the processing transmission or receipt of entries.
Newman Insurance is not responsible for any theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; failures or malfunctions of electronic data transmission, telephones, telephone lines or telephone systems, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections, any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion on the Internet or for any technical problem, including but not limited to any injury or damage to the participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in this contest; the cancellation, suspension or preemption of games, injuries or timing errors, electronic or equipment failure or other communication problems occurring in connection with participation in this contest nor is it responsible for any transmission of viruses from the Newman Insurance website to a computer system or if any whole entry system crashes resulting in the contest being cancelled or other problems or errors of any kind whether mechanical, human, electronic or otherwise.
Newman Insurance and the prize selection team shall not be liable for failure in any of their obligations including, but not limited to, any loss or damage in respect to the prize resulting from any delay, cancellation, adverse weather conditions, loss of personal belongings, illness, bodily injury, accident, death, deterioration of Services, inconvenience, loss of enjoyment, disappointment or frustration, either mental or physical due to any Acts of God, force majeure or third party wrongdoing or any other matter out of their control.
Newman Insurance and the prize selection team, and any of their affiliates, including advertising, sponsoring and promotional agencies, and their directors, trustees, officers and employees expressly disclaim and shall be held free of all responsibility or liability for any loss or damage in respect to the prize howsoever caused, any act, error, omission, injury, loss, accident, or the neglect or default of any company or person providing any service for the contest.
Caution: Any attempt by a contestant to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of the contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Newman Insurance reserves the right to seek damages from any such contestant to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To be declared a winner, the entrant must:
a) Be reached by the Organizer by telephone or email within five (5) business days of the draw. Any entrant selected to receive the prize not reached by the deadline will have their entry cancelled and a second entrant will be selected. If the second entrant selected is not reached by phone or email within five (5) business days following the second selection, their entry will be cancelled and a third entrant will be reached under the same conditions. In the event the third entrant cannot be reached, prize will not be awarded;
b) Accept the Prizes as described in these rules. Prizes cannot be transferred to another individual, substituted for another prize or exchanged in whole or in part for money or any other consideration;
c) Fill out and sign the waiver of liability (the Form), to be provided by email, and return it to the Organizer before the deadline indicated in the letter accompanying the Form. Prior to receiving the prize, the winner will be required to provide valid photo ID and to sign a declaration of eligibility and release form releasing the Organizer and the Sponsor and its related parties from any and all liability in connection with the Contest and/or the prize, confirming compliance with the Contest rules and consenting to the use of his or her name and photograph, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by the Sponsor and/or its advertising and promotional agencies. The signed form must be received by Sponsor within five days of notification or the prize may be forfeited and awarded to an alternate entrant.
Failure to comply with one of the conditions mentioned in these Contest Rules or to accept a prize will cause the selected entrant to be disqualified. In such a case, the Organizers may, at their sole discretion, cancel the prize or, if time permits, proceed to another draw until an entrant is selected and declared a winner for that prize.
Within five (5) days following the receipt of the duly completed and signed Declaration Form, the Organizers will contact the prize winners to make the necessary arrangements.
