In 1997, Newman, Oliver & McCarten purchased William J. Nayler Insurance Brokers Ltd. in Madoc.
Ted Nayler originally opened the insurance business in Madoc in 1920. After working for his dad for 3 years, Bill Nayler purchased and ran it successfully, with his wife Mary, for 45 years.
 The office is located across from the drug store at 41 Durham Street South.
As a welcome addition, Newman, Oliver & McCarten purchased Doug Whitley
Insurance Brokers Ltd. (Madoc Branch) in 2005.
